Stephenson Building

We worked with the main contractor Bowmer and Kirkland on a project that was a £70 million extension and refurbishment to the School of Engineering at Newcastle University.
We manufactured and installed the main features to the building of the Living Stairs and Drum Wall incorporating Glazed Pods, Breakout Seating Areas and Computer Benching.
Other items supplied included Coffee Points, Media Walls, AV Screens, Acoustic Ceiling Rafts and Bag Storage.

Materials include solid surface Corian which WECJ specialise in manufacturing along with demountable laminated screens to allow for ITC service access.
All products were manufactured in West End Cabinet & Joinery workshops and installed on site by our team.

We were given an architect's complex design for a bespoke staircase. This included Formica laminate panels all individually fitted with no piece the same.
Although complicated and time consuming we were delighted with the outcome.
